Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking residency-trained physicians for an urgent Emergency Medicine / Hospital Medicine locum tenens need in Shattuck, Oklahoma.

Immediate coverage is needed this Thursday at 7:00 AM through Sunday at 7:00 AM, with ongoing opportunities beyond this block. This is a distinctive rural practice combining emergency department coverage with inpatient responsibilities in a Critical Access Hospital, averaging approximately 10 total encounters per day.

Physicians may work 3–5 consecutive days, making this particularly attractive for providers seeking concentrated blocks and an ongoing locum relationship.

Immediate & Ongoing Coverage

• Urgent: Thursday 7:00 AM – Sunday 7:00 AM
• Ongoing coverage available
• Flexible block scheduling

• Emergency Medicine + Hospital Medicine responsibilities
• Epic EMR
• First-day orientation and training provided by the CNO

Clinical Practice

• Approximately 10 combined encounters per day
• Emergency department evaluation and treatment
• Inpatient rounding and Hospital Medicine responsibilities
• Adult and pediatric emergency care
• Emergency stabilization and resuscitation
• Trauma evaluation and stabilization
• Appropriate emergency procedures
• Admission, disposition, and transfer coordination as clinically appropriate
• NP support when volume reaches 18+ encounters

The combined EM/Hospitalist model offers physicians a broad rural practice without the throughput demands of a high-volume emergency department.

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Completed residency required
• Board certification preferred
• Current ACLS
