Job Title: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)

Location: Valdosta, GA 31602

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours weekly

Overview: Join a well-established, full-service small animal hospital with over five decades of community roots. Services span general medicine, diagnostics, dental care, surgery, boarding, grooming, and 24/7 emergency care. The team is experienced, supportive, and genuinely committed to the animals and families they serve. This is a full-time associate DVM position with a primary focus on general practice medicine.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough wellness exams, sick visits, and follow-up appointments

  • Diagnose and treat a broad range of small animal medical conditions

  • Perform basic and routine surgical procedures, including spay/neuter and small mass removals

  • Perform or assist with dental extractions and oral health procedures

  • Accurately maintain medical records and client communication

  • Collaborate with support staff, technicians, and fellow DVMs to deliver consistent, high-quality care

  • Participate in the overall culture of clinical excellence the practice is known for

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an AVMA-accredited institution

  • Active veterinary license in good standing (or eligibility to obtain Georgia licensure)

  • 3 or more years of clinical experience in a general practice or mixed small animal setting preferred

  • Comfortable performing routine soft tissue surgery and basic dental procedures

  • Strong diagnostics and treatment planning skills
