Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | Monday–Friday | 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM | 37.5 Hours/Week
Pay Rate:
Local Rate: $2,400/Week (Based on Experience)
Travel Rate: $3,143/Week (Based on Experience)

Position Overview:

We are seeking an X-Ray Technologist for an exciting Contract opportunity in New York, NY.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations in accordance with physician orders and established imaging protocols.

  • Prepare, position, and educate patients to ensure high-quality diagnostic imaging and patient comfort.

  • Operate radiographic equipment and adjust technical factors to obtain optimal image quality.

  • Practice radiation safety and infection control procedures to protect patients, staff, and visitors.

  • Evaluate radiographic images for diagnostic quality and repeat studies when necessary.

  • Document procedures and maintain accurate patient records within departmental systems.

  • Perform routine equipment checks, troubleshoot minor issues, and coordinate maintenance as needed.

  • Maintain imaging supplies and ensure a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to deliver quality patient care.

  • Participate in continuing education and maintain professional competency requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree from a JRCERT or AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology required.

  • Active New York State Licensed Radiologic Technologist (L.R.T.) License required.

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification required.

  • Minimum 2 years of X-Ray Technologist experience required.

  • Experience with GE and Carestream imaging equipment required.

  • Strong knowledge of diagnostic radiography, radiation safety, infection control, and image quality standards.

  • Excellent communication, patient care, and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.

  • English proficiency (Speak, Read, and Write) required.
