Direct Counsel is seeking a Construction Litigation Associate Attorney to join a premier law firm's nationally recognized Construction and Infrastructure practice. This is an outstanding opportunity for an attorney with 2–6 years of litigation experience who is interested in representing public and private clients in complex construction and infrastructure disputes involving some of the nation's largest transportation, water, commercial, and residential projects.
The role offers early responsibility, meaningful client interaction, and the opportunity to work alongside a highly respected team in a collaborative hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities- Handle all phases of construction litigation and dispute resolution in state and federal courts, as well as arbitration proceedings.
- Represent clients in complex construction claims involving large public infrastructure projects and private commercial developments.
- Draft and respond to written discovery, pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation-related documents.
- Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies.
- Assist with claims involving contract drafting and negotiation, delay claims, cost overruns, defective construction, and other construction-related disputes.
- Collaborate with partners and litigation teams on sophisticated, high-profile matters.
- Manage multiple litigation matters efficiently while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Take ownership of significant projects and contribute to successful case outcomes.
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active admission to the California Bar.
- 2–6 years of litigation experience.
- Interest or experience in construction litigation or construction-related claims.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Experience drafting and responding to discovery, pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Experience with eDiscovery is preferred.

Compensation: $195,000 – $250,000, commensurate with experience, plus bonus eligibility. Attorneys who meet the annual 1,850 billable hour expectation are eligible for a bonus of 15% of base salary, along with a competitive benefits package.
