CDR General Services is seeking a Combo Ship Welder to join our team in Hahnville, LA. The ideal candidate for this position will be a motivated individual with strong welding and fabrication skills, experience in marine or barge repair environments, and a commitment to producing high-quality work while maintaining a safe and productive workplace.

• First Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Second Shift: 3:30 PM – 11:00 PM

Key Responsibilities
- Perform combo welding on barges and marine fabrication projects
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding specifications
- Prepare, fit, and weld components according to project requirements
- Operate welding, cutting, and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
- Inspect welds to ensure quality and compliance with specifications
- Work with fitters and other production personnel to complete projects
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Support production schedules, including overtime when required
Qualifications
- 2+ years of Combo Welding experience
- 2+ years of barge repair or marine fabrication experience
- Ability to produce high-quality welds in a production environment
- Strong blueprint-reading and fabrication skills
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and cutting equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Industrial marine fabrication and repair environment
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting
- Ability to work around welding equipment, heavy machinery, and fabrication tools
- Ability to lift, carry, and handle materials as required
- Must be able to work overtime and meet physical demands of the position
