Part Time Veterinary Receptionist

Apple Tree Animal Clinic is an independently owned, one-doctor, small animal practice located in Ranson, West Virginia. We focus on providing quality care for both cats and dogs. We are currently looking for a Veterinary Receptionist to join our growing practice.

At Apple Tree Animal Clinic, we understand how important work-life balance is, which is why our schedule is Monday to Friday with regularly scheduled shifts. Our small team is a solid group of dedicated professionals who strive to deliver the best care to our customers and patients. Your desire and skills to take our customer service team to new heights is of great interest to us.

The ideal candidate should have experience working in the veterinary field and should be an expert multi-tasker, as well as a driven and independent worker. Previous experience with sincere and patient customer service required, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Skills:

• Be comfortable and excel at working independently but be part of a cohesive team

• Patience and passion for working with people as well as their furry pets

• Compassionate but clear communication skills -- phone and via email

• Reliable, professional and honest

• Basic Computer Skills are required (email, typing, scanning, faxing)

Requirements:

• Receptionists at ATAC spend significant amounts of time answering phones and managing electronic communications, hearing people on the phone is a vital ability.

• ATAC is a two-story building, applicants must have the ability to safely ambulate stairs. Our prescription diets are stored upstairs so applicants must be able to safely carry 30 lbs downstairs.

• Applicants must be reliable (demonstrating consistent attendance), arriving at work on time, responsible, and hard working.

• Applicants must be able to multitask, work well in sometimes stressful situations, and be detail-oriented.

• The ability to work both in a team environment and independently is a must.

Schedule: Work schedule will be 2pm-5pm (pending finish time 6pm at latest) Monday-Thursday, and 2pm-4pm (pending finish time 5pm at latest) on Fridays
