Maintenance Technician - Full-time / Part-time

Our client, an established leader in the aviation industry, is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join their dedicated team. As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will be an essential part of the Maintenance Department supporting daily operations and ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, strong communication skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Facilities Maintenance

Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL

Pay Range: $16.00-$18.00

Shift: Monday – Friday 8AM – 5PM

What's the Job?

• Assist with basic preventative maintenance (PM) for shop equipment, machinery, and test stands.
• Perform routine checks such as fluid levels, seals, and filters to ensure equipment is operational and clean.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment across all areas including production floors, breakdown zones, and offices.
• Ensure safety regulations are followed by keeping emergency exits, eye-wash stations, and walkways clear of obstructions.
• Handle shop waste fluids/materials properly and assist with disposal according to company guidelines.

What's Needed?

• Minimum 1 year of experience in facility maintenance, handiwork, or a similar mechanical role.
• Ability to multi-task, work well with different departments, and communicate effectively (oral and written).
• Dependability with a stable work history, strong work ethic, and punctual attendance.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform physical labor.
• High School Diploma or equivalent minimum; aviation experience is a plus but not required.
