Assistant Project Manager

We are looking for a dynamic leader to join our team as an Assistant Project Manager that would potentially transition into a Project Managers role within 12 months. This individual will assume ownership for all contracted janitorial services at an accredited academic institution in Owings Mills, Maryland. They will lead all operational activities while maintaining positive client relationships and effective cost control measures.
What will I do?
  • Establish and maintain exceptional client relationships and rapport!
  • Perform quality inspections according to schedule to ensure quality workmanship and service expectations.
  • Assist in determining financial budget, labor planning, and cost controls.
  • Support Project Manager in performance management in the areas of, but not limited to hiring, onboarding, training, performance reviews, terminations and uses coaching & counseling as needed.
  • Assist in planning, developing, and assigning work schedules to ensure service delivery expectations are meet.
  • Takes ownership for overall quality delivered to client.
  • Responsibility for correcting problems and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Ownership of work orders to include acknowledging, assigning, ensuring completion, closing out and communicating with client.
  • Ensure all work is completed to contract specifications.
  • Coordinate special projects, floor care, carpet cleaning, and event support.
  • Maintain employee attendance records.
  • Track labor hours and comply with budget management.
  • Maintain staffing schedules and vacation coverage.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as Human Resources and Accounting to ensure your team is in compliance with company policy.
  • Cultivate a strong culture to provide a safe work environment helping to improve Worker's Compensation claims through ongoing training and on time reporting.
Who will get this job?
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of management experience
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Solid business acumen & communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Driver License and clean driving record required.
  • Must pass criminal background check.
  • Ability to be flexible and adjust to work schedule.


Compensation details: 75000 Yearly Salary
