Accounts Payable Clerk / Accounting Assistant (On-Site – La Jolla) 

Location: La Jolla, San Diego, CA (Strictly In-Office)

Job Type: Full-Time, 

Permanent Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST 

About the Opportunity:We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk / Accounting Assistant to join our on-site team in La Jolla.

This role is built for a process-driven numbers specialist who wants absolute accountability over the quality of their work, utilizes modern software to eliminate manual friction, and refuses to pass sloppy drafts up to leadership. 

What You'll Do: 

• AP Processing (70%): Meticulously review, code, verify, and input high-volume vendor invoices into QuickBooks Online daily. 

• Payment Batches (10%): Run approved check batches, ACH files, and electronic payments. 

• Ledger Balancing: Reconcile monthly bank accounts and corporate credit cards, instantly isolating and researching variances. 

• Desk Documentation: Keep precise, step-by-step process logs for your account desk to support seamless business continuity.

Qualifications & Skills 

• 3 years of accounts payable, bookkeeping, or accounting support experience

• Experience with bank and/or credit card reconciliations

• Basic understanding of accounting principles and general ledger coding 

• Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel 

Required Skills: 

• Data entry accuracy, account reconciliation, time management, communication, and strict confidentiality.

• Preferred: QuickBooks experience, small business background, or an Associate degree/coursework in Accounting.
