Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) – Behavioral Health | Leadership Autonomy + Full Benefits + Strategic Impact

This is a high-impact leadership role where you’ll set the vision for nursing, drive patient care standards, and lead a multidisciplinary team in an inpatient behavioral health setting. You’ll work closely with leadership and clinical teams to ensure safe, patient-centered care while improving operational performance and staff development.

What you’ll do
  • Lead and oversee all nursing operations within the facility
  • Set strategic direction for nursing practice and patient care delivery
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards
  • Manage staffing, patient acuity, and resource allocation
  • Drive performance, accountability, and staff development across nursing teams
  • Oversee departmental budgets and operational efficiency
  • Partner with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes
  • Address patient care gaps and resolve escalated concerns
What you bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (Master’s preferred)
  • 6+ years RN experience (10+ preferred)
  • 3+ years in progressive nursing leadership
  • Behavioral health experience in an inpatient setting
  • Experience in psychiatric hospital leadership (CNO/DON strongly preferred)
  • Strong operational, clinical, and people leadership skills
