Cath Lab Registered Nurse

A hospital in Ottumwa, Iowa is seeking a junior-level Registered Nurse to join its cardiac catheterization laboratory team. This is a fully on-site, in-person position with no remote work option. The role is open to candidates holding a current Iowa RN license or a qualifying multistate license. Please note that visa sponsorship and relocation assistance are not available for this position.

The Cath Lab RN supports procedural care within the cardiac catheterization laboratory, assisting with both interventional and diagnostic cardiovascular procedures. Day-to-day responsibilities align with standard RN practice in a cath lab setting, including patient assessment, continuous monitoring, and peri-procedural nursing care. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career nurse looking to specialize in cardiovascular procedural care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing support during interventional and diagnostic cardiovascular procedures
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments before, during, and after cath lab procedures
• Monitor patient status continuously throughout each procedure
• Deliver peri-procedural nursing care in accordance with established clinical protocols
• Assist physicians and the procedural team to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation for all procedural encounters
• Follow established safety standards and quality protocols within the cath lab environment

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Iowa or a multistate license allowing practice in Iowa required
• Graduate of a registered nursing program required
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification required
