Job Description
The Trempealeau County Health Care Center has an opening for an Activity Director. We are seeking an individual with leadership qualities to guide team members and lead a variety of activities that encourage participation from our residents.
$28.80 - $34.97 per hour based on experience/education

Responsibilities
· Coordinate special events, outings, and therapeutic activities aligned with residents’ preferences and abilities.
· Foster an inclusive atmosphere where all residents feel encouraged to participate .
· Strong organizational and planning skills required.
· The ability to manage schedules efficiently while quickly adapting to changing resident needs is critical to success in this role.
· Monitor residents’ participation and provide personalized encouragement to foster engagement and enjoyment.
· Manage scheduling logistics for activities, ensuring timely setup, execution, and cleanup while maintaining a safe environment.
· Document detailed records of resident participation, resident feedback, and activity goal outcomes to continually improve programming quality.
· Ability to lead at more than one location, including mental health and skilled nursing facilities.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) from a four-year college or university with a major or minor in therapeutic recreation, social work, sociology, psychology, occupational therapy, or related field.
· Qualified therapeutic recreation therapist or willing to complete a certification specialist training course through the State of Wisconsin.
· Two years of experience in social or recreational programs within the last 5 years, one of which was full-time in a therapeutic activities program.
