Industrial Equipment Repair Technician / Manual Machinist
Contract-to-Hire | Full-Time | Levittown, PA
Looking for a stable Monday-Friday opportunity where your mechanical skills are valued?
We're seeking a hands-on Industrial Equipment Repair Technician / Manual Machinist to join the aftermarket service division of a well-established manufacturer of industrial compressors. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys diagnosing, repairing, rebuilding, and restoring industrial equipment and wants the opportunity to earn a permanent position.
This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with long-term potential for the right individual.
What You'll Do
- Repair and rebuild industrial equipment in a machine shop environment
- Operate manual mills, lathes, and horizontal boring mills
- Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble customer equipment
- Read blueprints, engineering drawings, and repair documentation
- Machine replacement components and perform precision measurements
- Maintain accurate repair records and job documentation
- Perform minor maintenance on shop equipment
- Follow established safety and quality procedures while keeping a clean work area
We're Looking For
We're interested in candidates with experience such as:
- Industrial Maintenance Technician
- Industrial Mechanic
- Machine Repair Technician
- Machine Mechanic
- Millwright
- Manual Machinist
- Mechanical Repair Technician
- Equipment Service Technician
- Manufacturing Maintenance Technician
Qualifications
- 2+ years of industrial mechanical, maintenance, machining, or equipment repair experience
- Experience operating manual machine tools is highly preferred
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and blueprints
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs. and working in an industrial shop environment
- High School Diploma or GED
Experience working on reciprocating or industrial compressors is a plus—but absolutely not required. We're happy to consider candidates with experience repairing pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, presses, industrial machinery, heavy equipment, or other mechanical systems.
