Automotive Technician

The Automotive Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining and repairing vehicles to ensure their safe and efficient operation. Working independently and as part of a small team of 3-5 technicians, this role involves comprehensive diagnostics, routine inspections, and repairs across various vehicle systems. The technician reports directly to the Service Manager and Lead Technician, with no travel required, and has opportunities for specialization or to maintain a broad skill set across automotive systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics to identify vehicle issues
• Conduct engine repairs and brake maintenance
• Maintain and repair electrical systems
• Complete routine vehicle inspections and testing
• Operate and maintain automotive tools effectively
• Keep accurate service and repair records
• Ensure compliance with safety standards
• Interact professionally with customers

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years’ experience in automotive repair
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficiency in engine diagnostics and brake systems
• Knowledge of electrical systems and automotive repair
• Skilled in tool usage and problem solving
• Strong attention to detail
• Customer service and teamwork abilities
