We are seeking a Plant Manager to join our growing team! You will oversee the activities of a production plant, milling operations, and site facilities.

Department: Operations

Reports to: President / COO

Responsibilities:

  • Assures production levels are maintained safely to schedule.
  • Closely monitors all areas of production to ensure work is carried out to the highest standards.
  • Assist staff on site in responding to any technical and/or staffing issues.
  • Alters production in accordance with materials required.
  • Manages the production process by setting and monitoring performance targets.
  • Manages and regulates the budget.
  • Provides information and updates on performance to senior managers as requested.
  • Maintains up-to-date records to include inventory, inspection systems, checklists, and financials.
  • Keeps abreast of key government health, safety, and environmental regulations, assuring they are implemented throughout the operation.
  • Conducts regular site inspections to ensure compliance.
  • Assesses equipment, orders new materials as required, and coordinates with internal and external maintenance to address plant and equipment readiness. Ensures all vehicles on site are maintained to a good standard.
  • Provides training and development opportunities and works with the team to create development plans.

Requirements:

  • The facility operates 24 hours a day / 7 days a week. The ability to respond outside of normal business hours is required.
  • Ability to work a flexible shift when needed to include days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Pre-employment screening, including drug screening and background check.
  • 3+ years of supervision experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Degree in Engineering or Science.
  • Experience with change management.
  • Previous use of a planned maintenance system.
  • Experience with PLCs and automation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
