Special Education Teacher (ABA Classroom) 2026-27

50 Stars Staffing is seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Education Teacher for an ABA Classroom in Wayne, NJ. The ideal candidate will provide specialized instruction to students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies to promote academic, behavioral, communication, and social-emotional growth.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction in an ABA classroom setting.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Utilize evidence-based ABA strategies and positive behavior supports.
• Collect and analyze student data to monitor progress and adjust interventions.
• Collaborate with BCBAs, behavior specialists, therapists, general education staff, and families.
• Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and support students' social and communication development.
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings.
• Ensure compliance with New Jersey special education regulations and district policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Valid New Jersey Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD) certification or Teacher of the Handicapped certification, along with the appropriate instructional certificate.
• Experience teaching in an ABA classroom or working with students with autism preferred.
• Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and data collection methods.
• Strong communication, classroom management, and collaboration skills.
