Industrial Maintenance Technician
Location: Osceola, AR
Schedule: Full-time (shift work, on-call, and overtime as needed)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire, Non-Exempt
Pay: $28.00 - $34.00 per hour
Marathon Staffing is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance team in Osceola, AR. What you’ll do
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections, and repairs according to site procedures and your skill level.
- Support production equipment including conveyors, motors, sensors, drives, hydraulics, pneumatics, guarding, and facility systems.
- Diagnose equipment faults and clearly communicate probable causes, repair needs, and downtime expectations.
- Document completed work, parts used, recurring problems, downtime causes, and preventive maintenance activity.
- Assist with equipment installation, startup checks, commissioning support, and readiness activities as assigned.
- Maintain tools, spare parts, maintenance records, and organized work areas.
- Coordinate repair activity with production leadership to reduce disruption and protect product quality.
- Follow lockout/tagout, electrical-safety boundaries, machine guarding, hot-work requirements, and PPE rules.
- Escalate work requiring specialized licensing, authorization, or technical support.
- Participate in root-cause reviews and continuous improvement for recurring equipment issues.
What you bring
- At least 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing or a related environment.
- Proven mechanical troubleshooting and repair ability.
- Working knowledge of electrical systems (including motors and sensors), hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Ability to read basic manuals, diagrams, equipment labels, work orders, and maintenance instructions.
- Strong understanding of lockout/tagout and industrial safety practices.
- Ability to document work clearly and communicate effectively under downtime pressure.
- Ability to work full-time on-site and safely perform the physical demands of the role.
Helpful (preferred) experience
- Maintenance experience in steel processing, metal fabrication, automotive, or heavy manufacturing.
- PLC, VFD, controls, or industrial electrical troubleshooting experience.
- Welding, fabrication, machining, or millwright experience within approved scope.
- CMMS, preventive maintenance, or spare-parts system experience.
- Technical diploma, apprenticeship, journeyman credential, or relevant certification.
Work environment
- Industrial maintenance work around active equipment and production downtime.
- May involve noise, tools/parts, strict energy-control requirements, and work in varying temperatures or awkward positions.
- Urgent response may be required. Essential duties must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
