About the Role:
Sayre Health Center in Philadelphia, PA is seeking a passionate and experienced Medical Director to lead our clinical team and drive excellence in patient care. Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical leadership and oversight of all medical staff, providers, and care delivery operations
- Develop, implement, and monitor clinical policies, protocols, and quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, accreditation requirements, and best practices in primary care
- Collaborate with administrative leadership on strategic planning, budgeting, and operational goals
- Mentor, recruit, and evaluate physicians, nurse practitioners, and other clinical staff
- Maintain a patient panel and provide direct patient care as part of the clinical team
- Lead efforts in population health management, chronic disease management, and preventive care
Requirements:
- MD or DO degree with board certification in a primary care specialty (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or related field)
- Active and unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license
- Minimum 3–5 years of clinical leadership or medical director experience, preferably in a FQHC or community health setting
- Strong knowledge of value-based care, quality metrics, and PCMH standards
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop multidisciplinary clinical teams
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Commitment to serving diverse and underserved patient populations
