Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Facilities & Maintenance Support II professional to support plant maintenance, equipment reliability, and facility operations. This hands-on role is responsible for preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, vendor coordination, safety inspections, and ensuring compliance with environmental and workplace safety standards.
The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment, and the ability to troubleshoot facility and equipment issues while maintaining a safe and efficient workplace.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of facilities maintenance, plant maintenance, industrial maintenance, or building maintenance experience.
- Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
- Experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, mechanical equipment, and hand/power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with production teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial facility.
- Knowledge of EHS, OSHA, NFPA, and workplace safety regulations.
- Experience with hazardous waste handling and environmental compliance.
- Current or previous certifications in:
- HAZWOPER
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
- Forklift Operation
- Aerial Lift/High Lift Operation
(Certifications may be obtained or maintained as required.)
Key Responsibilities
Equipment & Facility Maintenance
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on production equipment, shop machinery, and facility systems.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform emergency repairs as needed.
- Complete routine maintenance and minor facility repairs to support daily operations.
- Maintain emission-critical equipment to ensure regulatory compliance.
Safety & Environmental Compliance
- Perform required inspections in accordance with EHS, OSHA, and NFPA standards.
- Correct identified safety concerns and ensure compliance with company safety policies.
- Support hazardous and non-hazardous waste handling and disposal procedures.
- Address safety observations and corrective actions identified by the safety team.
Vendor & Project Coordination
- Coordinate and schedule outside contractors and service providers for equipment and facility repairs.
- Assist with facility improvement projects and maintenance initiatives.
- Support project planning and completion while minimizing operational disruptions.
Maintenance Administration
- Review and respond to maintenance requests.
- Complete maintenance documentation and maintain accurate service records.
- Assist in tracking preventive maintenance schedules and ensuring timely completion.
- Support quality requirements by documenting completed maintenance activities and inspections.
General Responsibilities
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and maintenance documentation.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and facility-related issues.
- Collaborate with production personnel, maintenance teams, and management to resolve equipment issues.
- Participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives.
- Maintain required safety certifications, including HAZWOPER, LOTO, forklift, and aerial lift certifications as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
