Database Administration (Oracle & SQL)

The Fountain Group is currently seeking a IT Developer II for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Canton, NY 13617. Details for the position are as follows:

Pay Rate : $60 Hourly - 100% ONSITE

Title : Software Engineer (IT App Developer II)
Duration : 12+ Months 3 Years assignment, possibility for extension or conversion based on performance and budget.
Location: 334 County Route 16 - Canton, NY 13617
Schedule: M-F, 8am - 5pm

Required Technical Skills
Strong Oracle and SQL experience (highest priority)
C#
Python
Database analysis and troubleshooting
Experience with MySQL is a plus
Ability to create clear technical documentation

Role Overview
Initially, the role will be heavily focused on database administration and application support, with the opportunity to transition into more application development work over time.

Primary responsibilities include:
Oracle and SQL database administration and management.
Supporting legacy manufacturing and operator applications.
Database analysis, including identifying table relationships and data usage.
Correcting and cleaning up data inconsistencies ("data massaging").
Supporting migrations from legacy systems to Camstar MES, resolving data mismatches during the conversion process.
Assisting with modernizing legacy applications and processes.
Developing applications using C# and Python as the role evolves.

Technical documentation (training guides, technical documentation, SOPs)
Change management and process improvement

Nice to Have
MES experience (Camstar preferred), but the manager is willing to train someone on MES.
