Contract Position | Keenesburg, CO | 2026–2027 School Year

We are partnering with a school district in Keenesburg, Colorado to hire a dedicated Special Education Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. Position Details
Position Type: Full-Time Contract
Assignment Dates: August 3, 2026 – May 21, 2027
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Grade Level: High School
Classroom: Significant Support Needs (SSN)
Caseload
Approximately 9 students
Supported by 3 dedicated paraprofessionals
Collaborative, team-oriented classroom environment
Responsibilities
Develop and implement individualized instruction aligned with students' IEP goals.
Provide specialized instruction to students with significant support needs in a high school classroom.
Collaborate with paraprofessionals, general education staff, related service providers, and families to support student success.
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and district requirements.
Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment that promotes student growth and independence.
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration.
Qualifications
Active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education Teaching License required.
Experience working with students with significant support needs preferred.
Knowledge of IEP development, progress monitoring, and evidence-based instructional practices.
Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
Ability to lead and collaborate effectively with paraprofessionals and multidisciplinary teams.

Compensation for this position ranges from $25.82 to $49.82. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
