Job Description
Step into an impactful, rewarding contract position supporting students at the elementary level near Evergreen, CO. You'll have the unique opportunity to work in a vibrant educational setting, making a difference for a small, dedicated group of learners. The schedule runs Monday through Thursday, 7:45 am to 4:15 pm, beginning August 5th and continuing through May 31st.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification or eligibility
- Previous experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly those with mild to moderate disabilities
- Understanding of developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to partner with general education teachers, families, and related service providers
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and positive classroom environment
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction tailored to a caseload of 10 students with mild to moderate disabilities and one student with a cognitive disability
- Develop and monitor IEP goals, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
- Implement evidence-based strategies and differentiated instruction to support academic and social emotional growth
- Collect and analyze student progress data, adjusting instruction as needed
- Foster meaningful relationships with students, encouraging engagement and self-advocacy
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school events as needed
