Special Education Teacher in Evergreen, CO

The schedule runs Monday through Thursday, 7:45 am to 4:15 pm, beginning August 5th and continuing through May 31st.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification or eligibility
• Previous experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly those with mild to moderate disabilities
• Understanding of developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to partner with general education teachers, families, and related service providers
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and positive classroom environment

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction tailored to a caseload of 10 students with mild to moderate disabilities and one student with a cognitive disability
• Develop and monitor IEP goals, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
• Implement evidence-based strategies and differentiated instruction to support academic and social emotional growth
• Collect and analyze student progress data, adjusting instruction as needed
• Foster meaningful relationships with students, encouraging engagement and self-advocacy
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school events as needed
