Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic to join our dynamic, cross-functional team. In this pivotal role, you will maintain and enhance the performance of facility equipment and machinery, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will contribute to a safe and productive work environment while advancing your mechanical maintenance skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mechanical troubleshooting and repairs to optimize machinery performance
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections to reduce downtime
• Diagnose mechanical issues and implement corrective actions, including equipment disassembly and reassembly
• Assist in installation, alignment, and setup of new mechanical systems and equipment
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records to support compliance
• Adhere to safety protocols including lock-out/tag-out procedures and PPE requirements
• Collaborate with technicians, tradespeople, and contractors to meet maintenance goals
• Inspect equipment regularly to identify and prevent potential failures

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; vocational/technical training or certification preferred
• Minimum 3 years of mechanical or industrial maintenance experience
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Proficient in safe operation of hand and power tools and interpretation of technical manuals and schematics
• Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to support collaboration

Preferred Qualifications

• Over 3 years of mechanical maintenance experience
• High school diploma or GED
• Expertise in mechanical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance
