Position Overview

The Special Education Teacher will provide specialized instruction and support to students receiving special education services while collaborating with teachers, administrators, and related service providers to help students achieve academic and personal success.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction and support for students receiving special education services
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals
• Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and related service providers
• Participate in IEP meetings and maintain compliance with state and district requirements
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment for all students

• Grade Levels: K–12 (grade-level preferences will be considered)

Requirements

• Active Colorado Special Education Teaching License (or eligibility to obtain)
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field
• Previous school-based experience preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
