Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Audiology from an accredited program
  • Active California Audiologist License required
  • Previous experience working in school-based settings highly desirable
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and families
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive hearing evaluations and recommend appropriate interventions

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer hearing screenings and diagnostic assessments for students
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to develop individualized support strategies
  • Interpret test results and provide recommendations for classroom accommodations or assistive technology
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare evaluation reports in accordance with district and state guidelines
  • Educate school staff and families on hearing health, hearing loss prevention, and best practices for supporting students with hearing challenges
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, contributing to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as needed
