Forklift Operator

Mancan Staffing is seeking Forklift Operators for our client in Norwalk, Ohio.

Position Summary:
We are seeking reliable and hardworking Forklift Operators! This role is hands-on, physical, and requires attention
to detail and a strong commitment to safety. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the flow of daily operations.
Must be comfortable working outside in any climate due to most of the work being outdoors!

Responsibilities:
Safely operate forklift in accordance with company policy and OSHA regulations
Load, Unload, move and stack materials and products as directed
Verify load contents against documents such as purchase orders, bills of lading, or pick tickets to ensure accuracy
Stage materials in designated areas to support efficient workflow and minimize disruption to operations
Assist with cycle counts and physical inventories as required
Identify and report damaged, mislabeled, or incorrectly stored product to a supervisor.
Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisor
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent
Valid forklift certification required, or ability to obtain certification upon hire
Previous experience working a lumber yard or mill is preferred
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods of time, and perform repetitive physical tasks
Must be a dependable team player with a proactive work ethic
Must be comfortable working outside in any climate throughout the year

1st shift - $18/hour
8am-5pm Monday-Friday (OT can be expected)
