Job Description
We are seeking a Material Handler to join our dynamic team supporting Trystar, a leader in power distribution equipment and related services. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in warehouse material movements, ERP-driven transactions, and forklift operations and a proven ability to ensure accurate, timely inventory flow to production and maintain organized, safe work areas.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct material transactions per production schedules and Epicor (ERP) signals.
- Read, comprehend, and execute Standard Operating Procedures to operate equipment and support product flow.
- Pull, issue, and transfer parts within Epicor (ERP) accurately and on time.
- Operate forklifts upon training and certification to move materials safely.
- Read and understand job travelers and sales orders to support production needs.
- Perform cycle counts and support inventory accuracy initiatives.
- Clean, restock, and organize warehouse areas to 5S standards.
- Perform other projects and duties as assigned by the Materials Supervisor.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- High school diploma.
- Ability to read instructions, safely operate material handling equipment, and visually inspect parts.
- Accuracy and timeliness in completing work assignments.
- Strong communication skills with ability to multitask and set priorities.
- Attention to detail with solid organizational and coordination abilities.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform frequent lifting, standing, bending, and reaching.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend plant directives in English.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.
- Adherence to PPE requirements including eye, hand, feet, and hearing protection.
Preferred Skills:
- Basic computer skills with accurate data entry for receiving and issuing products.
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably Epicor, for material transactions.
- Ability to perform simple mathematics to interpret SOPs, tally sheets, and account for materials and scrap.
