Job Description
Epiq Counsel is seeking a full-time (40/hr per week) Product Counsel for a globally recognized, publicly traded technology company that operates one of the world's largest consumer-facing digital platforms.
\nThis attorney will partner with product, engineering, marketing, and business stakeholders to help launch and scale innovative products used by millions of people worldwide.
\nRequired Qualifications
\n- \n
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. \n
- 3–8+ years of relevant legal experience serving as a Product Counsel. \n
- Strong expertise in one or more of the following areas: Product counseling, Technology transactions, Intellectual property, Privacy, Consumer protection, Digital platform legal issues. \n
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across stakeholder groups. \n
- Ability to independently manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment. \n
- Willingness to support a hybrid role requiring two days onsite in Northern California (Bay Area) based office. \n
- Epiq Counsel partners with industry-leading clients in support of their sophisticated interim talent needs. Must be interested in practicing in an alternative, fixed-term legal services model. \n
Preferred Qualifications

- Combination of law firm and in-house legal experience. \n
- Experience supporting consumer-facing technology companies. \n
- Background advising product, advertising, platform, creator economy, marketplace, content, or emerging technology teams. \n
- Experience counseling on AI initiatives, user-generated content, digital media, online platforms, or creator-focused products. \n
What You'll Do
\nAs Product Counsel, you will serve as a trusted advisor to cross-functional teams developing innovative technology products and platform features. Responsibilities will include:

- Advising product and business teams throughout the product development lifecycle. \n
- Counseling stakeholders on product, technology, privacy, intellectual property, consumer protection, and marketing-related matters. \n
- Supporting products and tools that enable users and creators to develop and launch digital experiences. \n
- Identifying legal risks and providing practical, business-focused recommendations. \n
- Collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, marketing professionals, and operational leaders. \n
- Advising on emerging legal issues involving artificial intelligence and evolving technology products. \n
