Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Case Manager for a 13-week travel contract requiring an ID or compact RN license and at least 1-2 years of case management experience.

• Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM)
\n
• Case management unit within a hospital setting
\n
• Responsibilities span medical necessity review, discharge planning, and utilization review
\n
• Epic is the EMR system; experience preferred but not required
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active Idaho (ID) or Compact RN license required
\n
• Minimum 1-2 years of case management experience required
\n
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
\n

Additional Information\n

\n
• Identifies and communicates changes in the patient's plan of care to the multidisciplinary health care team
\n
• Maintains working knowledge of community resources and referral processes
\n
• Anticipates patient needs using length of stay (LOS) data, promoting resource stewardship and timely transitions to alternative levels of care
\n
• Documents initial screenings and discharge plans accurately and in a timely manner in the patient record
\n
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
\n
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
\n
• Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible as a traveler
\n
• Travel pairs or groups will not be considered
\n
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved; no RTO during the first week of orientation
