\n 🕒 Shift: Days / Variable Shifts
\n ⏰ Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours/Week
\n Copley Health Systems is seeking a Surgical Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented surgical professional who is committed to maintaining a safe, sterile operating room environment while assisting surgeons and the perioperative team during a variety of surgical procedures. An on-call rotation is required as part of this position.
\n Position Highlights:
\n 13-week travel assignment
\n Day and variable shifts
\n 40 guaranteed hours per week
\n On-call rotation required
\n No holiday coverage required
\n CPSI/Evident EMR
\n Overtime after 40 hours per week
\n Responsibilities:
\n Prepare the operating room with sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment prior to procedures
\n Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures
\n Assist surgeons and circulating nurses by anticipating procedural needs
\n Pass instruments, supplies, and equipment during surgery
\n Perform sponge, instrument, and needle counts according to hospital policy
\n Ensure proper handling of surgical specimens
\n Assist with room turnover and preparation for subsequent procedures
\n Maintain compliance with infection prevention, safety standards, and all applicable state and federal regulations
\n Participate in the on-call schedule to support urgent and emergent surgical procedures
\n Requirements:
\n Minimum 6 months of Surgical Technologist/Operating Room experience
\n Experience in a hospital operating room preferred
\n Orthopedic surgical experience is a plus
\n Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
\n Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment
\n Excellent communication and teamwork skills
\n Surgical Technologist certification preferred (if applicable)
\n Vermont state license not required
