Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day | 4x10 Hours (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
On-Call Requirement: 1–2 weeknight call shifts per week on average and weekend call approximately every 4–5 weeks. Occasional off-shift rotation may be required.

- Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care for oncology and general surgery patients throughout the surgical process. \n
- Circulate complex surgical procedures including oncology, general surgery, ENT, thoracic, and plastic surgery cases. \n
- Perform pre-operative assessments, intraoperative monitoring, and post-anesthesia patient care. \n
- Maintain a sterile surgical environment while adhering to infection prevention and patient safety standards. \n
- Prepare and manage surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies for a wide range of procedures. \n
- Assist surgeons and anesthesia providers during complex surgical interventions. \n
- Monitor patient status, administer medications, blood products, and respond to intraoperative emergencies. \n
- Perform specimen collection, labeling, and accurate documentation using Epic EMR. \n
- Float within assigned surgical service lines based on departmental needs. \n
- Participate in scheduled weekday, weekend, and holiday on-call rotations. \n
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality surgical care. \n

- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience. \n
- Mandatory Oncology Surgery experience (Hard Stop). \n
- Strong General Surgery experience with the ability to circulate multiple surgical specialties. \n
- Experience with complex oncology procedures including Whipple, Esophagectomy, Exploratory Laparotomy, Bowel Resection, Thyroidectomy, Parathyroidectomy, Neck Dissection, Mastectomy, Lumpectomy, Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy, Breast Reconstruction, Free Flaps, and Melanoma Excision. \n
- Level II Trauma experience required; Level I Trauma experience strongly preferred. \n
- Previous travel nursing experience required (first-time travelers not accepted). \n
- Experience with Epic EMR required. \n
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred. \n
- Experience with Da Vinci robotic surgery, Orthopedic, Neuro, and additional Oncology procedures is highly preferred. \n
- Ability to float between surgical service lines and participate in on-call rotations. \n
- Strong critical thinking, communication, teamwork, and perioperative patient care skills. \n
