Pay & Perks

Competitive pay ranges from $32.00 to $37.75 on weekdays and $35.20 to $41.53 on weekends, based on experience. Amberwoods also pays for meal breaks, increasing the effective hourly value compared with facilities that do not.

·       $5,000 sign-on bonus for full-time 40-hour positions

·       $4,000 sign-on bonus for full-time 32-hour positions

·       $6,000 sign-on bonus for full-time 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. positions, prorated for reduced hours

Open Shifts

We are hiring LPNs and RNs for the following shifts:

·       7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., every other weekend

·       3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., including every other weekend

·       11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., including every other weekend

·       Part-time and per diem opportunities available for all shifts

·       LPNs starting at $34.25 per hour with 1 year of experience

·       RNs in floor nurse roles starting at $37.00 per hour with 1 year of experience

Requirements

·       Current Connecticut LPN or RN license required

·       Prior long-term care experience preferred

·       Strong communication skills and a compassionate, resident-centered approach

·       Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

Responsibilities

·       Plan and manage patient care according to each resident’s needs

·       Interview patients and document medical history and physical condition

·       Obtain and record vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, temperature, and respiration

·       Provide routine nursing care and monitor changes in patient health

·       Review medical charts and communicate updates to the care team

·       Assist physicians and registered nurses with clinical care

·       Communicate clearly with residents and their families

·       Prepare specimens for lab courier pickup

·       Administer medications, injections, and other treatments as ordered

·       Provide wound care and support resident comfort and safety

·       Monitor catheters and other ongoing care needs
