About the Role:
Join Mur-len Family Dentistry as a Dental Assistant in Olathe, KS, where you'll play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to support our dental team and ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures to ensure patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to industry standards.
- Manage patient records and maintain accurate documentation of treatments and procedures.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care to promote healthy habits.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow to optimize office efficiency.
- Perform basic laboratory tasks, such as taking impressions and preparing materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure a welcoming environment.
- Assist with billing and insurance claims as needed to support the administrative team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; dental assistant certification preferred but not required.
- Previous experience as a dental assistant or in a similar healthcare role is a plus.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and sterilization techniques.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and team members.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Basic computer skills for managing patient records and scheduling systems.
- Current CPR certification is preferred, or willingness to obtain it upon hire.
