Pediatric Private Duty RN – Night Shift (12-Hour Shifts)


Location: Whiticha Falls, TX
Schedule: 12-Hour Night Shifts
Position Type: Private Duty Nursing

BrightStar Care is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide one-on-one care for a pediatric patient in the home setting. This position is ideal for nurses who are passionate about pediatric care and thrive in a private-duty environment.

Patient Overview

•  3-year-old pediatric patient 
•  History of traumatic brain injury (TBI) 
•  Blind and non-verbal 
•  Receiving tube feedings (TF) 
•  Seizure precautions 
•  Aspiration precautions 

Responsibilities

•  Provide skilled nursing care during 12-hour overnight shifts 
•  Manage and monitor tube feedings 
•  Care for and maintain a Mickey Button (G-tube) 
•  Monitor for seizure activity and respond appropriately 
•  Implement aspiration precautions and ensure patient safety 
•  Complete accurate nursing documentation 
•  Communicate effectively with family members and the clinical team 

Requirements

•  Current RN license in good standing 
•  Pediatric nursing experience required 
•  Experience with G-tubes/Mickey Buttons preferred 
•  Knowledge of seizure management and aspiration precautions 
•  Ability to lift and transfer up to 55 pounds 
•  Current CPR/BLS certification 
•  Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
