HiFyve is hiring Controls Technicians in the Automotive Industry!
HiFyve is partnering with an automotive manufacturer to hire Controls Technicians for their manufacturing facility in Columbus, Nebraska. This is a hands-on opportunity supporting highly automated production equipment in a modern manufacturing environment with excellent earning potential and long-term career growth.
Position Details
Location: Columbus, NE
Shift: 2nd Shift
- Monday through Friday
- 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- Rotating on-call schedule every 4th weekend
- Saturday hours paid at overtime
- Sunday hours paid at double time
Pay:
- $25.63–$42.56/hour (depending on experience)
- +$0.75/hour 2nd Shift differential
What You'll Be Working On
You'll support a highly automated, 300,000-square-foot automotive manufacturing facility featuring:
- 160+ Fanuc robotic welding cells
- Stamping presses
- Tube mills
- Paint line conveyors
- Automated production equipment
This is a hands-on production floor role focused on maximizing equipment uptime through electrical troubleshooting, controls support, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of industrial maintenance or controls experience in an automated manufacturing environment
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills
- Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment (Allen-Bradley preferred)
- Basic PLC diagnostics and ladder logic troubleshooting
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
- Experience troubleshooting industrial electrical systems, control panels, motors, sensors, conveyors, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems
- Experience supporting stamping presses, robotic welding cells, or paint line conveyors is a plus
- Fanuc robotics experience preferred
- Associate's degree in Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or equivalent hands-on experience preferred
