Additional Details about the position

Preoperative Assessment & Preparation:

• Verify patient identity, surgical site, and consent.
• Review patient medical history, allergies, and pre-op labs.
• Prepare the OR room with necessary equipment and supplies.
• Intraoperative Care & Safety:
• Aseptic Technique: Enforce sterile field integrity throughout the surgery.
• Patient Positioning: Properly position the patient to prevent injury (e.g., nerve damage, pressure ulcers).
•  Surgical Counts: Perform counts of sponges, needles, and instruments with the scrub person before, during, and after the procedure to prevent retained items.
• Provide a thorough report to PACU nurses regarding the procedure, anesthesia, and any complications.
• Endoscopy cases are high
• Pain management procedures/cases are high 

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• 2 Years relevant experience 
• Must have seen Ortho cases; knees & shoulder
• Need ortho experience

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS 

• ACLS 

LICENSURE REQUIREMENT 

• ME
