Our client seeks an SVP, Infrastructure Engineering leader for Mainframe Communications Systems Software within the Technology Services Group. The role oversees lifecycle delivery for mainframe hardware and software, leads teams administering z/OS environments, and drives modernization, automation, and cross-functional collaboration. The leader will coach managers, develop talent, and influence stakeholders across business units to achieve operational outcomes.

Rate: $80.00 to $90.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities:- Oversee delivery projects for hardware and software lifecycle management across z/OS mainframe environments.
- Lead managers and engineers who administer mainframe technologies including JCL, DB2, IMS, CICS, source code management, SDLC, and security mechanisms such as ACF2, RACF, and TSS.
- Drive modernization, enhancement, and continuous improvement through innovation and automation.
- Define and execute infrastructure strategy and own lifecycle management initiatives.
- Partner with data center services, production services, and application development teams to shape opportunities.
- Communicate with executives and translate technical concepts into business outcomes.
- Coach and mentor managers, build talent, and foster engagement.
- Hands-on z/OS/MVS systems programming background.
- Mainframe communications experience: VTAM, TCP/IP, IBM Connect:Direct, CA Session Manager, and CA Spool.
- Mainframe software installation and maintenance with SMP/E experience preferred.
- Proficiency with JCL and ISPF/TSO.
- Security exposure with RACF, ACF2, or Top Secret (TSS).
- Experience supporting or administering CICS, DB2, and IMS.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and source code management.
- 10+ years of diverse IT experience; financial services experience is a plus.
- Proven leadership of technical teams and complex programs with strong stakeholder influence skills.
- Experience in tooling, utilities, data transport, and architecture and design principles.
- Preferred: BMC AMI Ops Automation/Monitors/Output Management, Control-D, Control-V, BMC Console Management, release and change management, CMDB, ITIL/ITSM, and mainframe platform frameworks.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Advanced certifications in infrastructure engineering or related disciplines preferred.
