Job Description
Pay Rate:Up to $100/hr combined (taxable hourly + tax-free allowances for travel, housing, meals). Rates may vary and are subject to change. Key Responsibilities: Prepare patients for electrophysiology procedures, including education, pre-procedure assessment, and IV access. Assist physicians during EP studies, ablations, pacemaker/ICD implants, and cardioversions. Monitor and interpret patients’ cardiac rhythms throughout procedures. Administer medications and manage sedation under established protocols. Maintain a sterile field and ensure proper use of specialized EP lab equipment. Provide post-procedure care, including recovery, monitoring for complications, and patient/family education. Document all aspects of patient care accurately and promptly. Collaborate with the EP lab team, cardiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver optimal patient outcomes. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to all safety and compliance standards. Qualifications: Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred. Licensure: Currnt RN license in good standing. Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; CCRN or RCES preferred. Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of critical care, telemetry, or cath lab experience; prior EP lab experience strongly preferred. Skills & Competencies: Strong ECG and cardiac rhythm interpretation skills. Ability to manage high-acuity patients and respond to emergent situations. Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy skills. Technical proficiency with EP mapping systems, recording equipment, and device programming (preferred).
