Driver & Onboarding Requirements
To protect student safety, all independent contractors complete a secure credentialing process inside our Contractor Compliance portal:
- English Language Proficiency (Hallo.ai) — Covered ($0 Out-of-Pocket)
- Controlled Substance Screening (Checkers) — Covered ($0 Out-of-Pocket)
- Background Check & Fingerprinting — Contractor Expense
- SafeRide Safety Certification Course — Contractor Expense
- Certified Vehicle Inspection — Contractor Expense (Must be completed by a licensed mechanic)
Vehicle Compliance Requirements
Your personal service vehicle must meet the following baseline criteria:
- Model Year: 2013 or newer.
- Condition: Maintained in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition.
- Body Type: Standard 4-door sedans or SUVs only (trucks are strictly prohibited).
- Window Tint: Must comply with regional legal limits (maximum 35% visible light transmission).
