Santa Clara electronics client seeks Manufacturing Technicians. This is a 1-yr contract.

Location: Santa Clara, CA

Type: Full-Time, 40 hours/week

Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Pay Rate: $30 - $36.50/hr

 

We are seeking an experienced Optic Inspection / Manufacturing Technicians to support order fulfillment and inspection activities in a high-tech manufacturing environment. This role involves hands-on optical and mechanical inspection, testing, and assembly using precision equipment and tools.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform optical and mechanical inspection using precision measuring equipment (oscilloscopes, autocollimators, interferometers, optical CMMs).
  • Operate laser alignment and optical test systems.
  • Utilize computer-automated test systems and accurately document test results.
  • Perform mechanical assembly using hand tools and fixturing.
  • Clean and inspect optical components and assemblies using approved solvents.
  • Work with optical components including lenses, mirrors, prisms, and ROMs.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) programs.
  • Provide feedback to engineering teams to help improve optical assembly processes.
  • Follow written and verbal work instructions in a team-based manufacturing environment.

 

Required Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in optical inspection (plano optics, prisms, ROMs).
  • Hands-on experience with laser test and alignment systems.
  • Familiarity with optical test equipment and automated test systems.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and excellent manual dexterity.
  • Understanding of basic optics principles and technology.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical instructions and documentation.
  • Intermediate math skills, including basic geometry.
  • Adequate visual acuity for detailed optical inspection (color vision, depth perception, focus adjustment).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a high attention to detail.
