Medical Laboratory Technician

Duration: 12 months to long term
Shift hours: Shift Nights and some Weekends
Pay Rate: $17/hr.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Employee must draw blood samples, fill out appropriate Laboratory request, maintain the logs, and prepare samples for shipment to the appropriate laboratory
• All records remain the property of the Health Service Department
• Employee shall train Medical Staff in laboratory procedures, as necessary shall document such training appropriately
• You will be responsible for ensuring the lab procedure manual is revised annually
• You shall prepare monthly and quarterly reports on continued quality improvement and submit repots to the Quality Assurance coordinator
• The employee shall provide services, professional in nature, in the method as considered normal in the local community and in accordance with AAAHC standards, ACA standards, and the Bureau of Prison policies

Qualifications:

• Candidates must hold a current and valid license as a "Clinical Laboratory Technician " (CLP/MLT)
• Experience in Specialty: One year experience within the last 3 years
• Certification/State License: CLA Certificate
