Job Description
Automotive Manufacturing Quality Engineer
· Implement interim and permanent corrective actions to resolve quality issues using 8D tool, 6 panel, etc.
· Manage and direct statistical process control activities
· Knowledge of and ability to execute measurement systems analysis & variable data analysis
· Identify sources of variation within a production environment effectively and efficiently
· Establish tolerance limits and facilitate appropriate corrective actions
· Establish and monitor quality target levels for each build
· Provide input for design and assembly concepts which will yield nominal variations
· Establish critical characteristics for gauging and measuring data collection methods
· Determine inspection equipment and facility requirements
· Support expedited concern resolution with cross functional teams including the Quality Department, Production and Suppliers
· Review internal/external suppliers for critical characteristics process compatibility
· Review incoming quality concerns to maintain quality with assigned area; must have experience with initiating containment, determining root cause and implementing corrective actions.

Experience Required:
· Minimum of five years of manufacturing or quality experience
· Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision
· Ability to lead cross-functional groups to resolve concerns
· Strong written and oral communication skills: you will be speaking or presenting to leadership or representing client while engaging with 3rd party suppliers
· High level of analytical and statistical skills to trend quality data and take appropriate actions
· Ability to positively influence change
· Ability to handle complex issues and multi-tasking
· Strong organizational skills
· Proficiency in using Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint. Understanding of the concepts and principles surrounding Business Objects, SharePoint, and other client-specific software.
Experience Preferred:
· Manufacturing Quality experience preferred.
· Black Belt or Green Belt Certification
· Previous quality experience preferred.
· Knowledge of Assembly, Machining and Gear processes
· Experienced in working with GSAR, Global 8D, Statistical Tools, Data Analytics and BSAQ preferred
Education Required:
· High School Diploma / GED
