Civil Design Engineer

Role Description

As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing plans under the guidance of a Project Manager. You will work closely with the project team to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical background in site/land development, demonstrated experience in project delivery and client management, and interest in a long-term career in site/land development.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare grading, storm drain, utility, sewer, as-built, and street improvement plans under direction of Project Manager
• Research, interpret and apply city standards, codes and zoning requirements as it applies to sites
• Communicate with agencies and plan checkers
• Prepare comment response letters
• Meet project deadlines with a sense of urgency
• Adhere to CDR standards and core values
• Maintain a positive attitude and strong willingness to continually learn and grow

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• 3+ years in Land Development
• Proficiency in AutoCad Civil 3D
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and codes
• P.E. license is preferred, but not required
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team
