Senior Engineer, Applications & Design Engineer

The Role

Entegris is currently seeking anApplications & Design Engineerto join ourSpecialty Coatings Groupteam, based in ourBedford, MAfacility.

In this role you will support new product developmentofALD, PVD, and PECVDcoatings andmanufacturing scale-up activities through a combination of applications engineering and mechanical design engineering. You will work closely with R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to develop coating applications,optimizemanufacturing processes, and design tooling and fixturing solutions that improve product performance, manufacturability, and operational efficiency.

WhatYou'llDo

• Support the development, qualification, and implementation of new coating applications, process capabilities, and manufacturing solutions.

• Assistwith process development, optimization, troubleshooting, and transfer of new products and technologies into manufacturing.

• Design, develop, fabricate, and qualify fixtures, tooling, assemblies, and supporting hardware for product development and manufacturing applications using SolidWorks.

• Create andmaintainengineering drawings, specifications, BOMs, work instructions, and engineering change documentation.

• Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, Operations, Safetyteams to improve manufacturability, process capability, product quality, and manufacturing readiness.

• Support prototyping, testing, and validation activities for new products, processes, and design concepts.

• Participate in root-cause investigations and continuous improvement activities to address technical and manufacturing challenges.

• Support equipment, tooling, and process modificationsrequiredto meet product development and manufacturingobjectives.

• Work with suppliers and vendors to develop components, fixtures, and technical solutions that support engineering and manufacturing activities.

• Ensure compliance with company systems and processes including SAP, ETQ, EPDM, Accolade, and applicable quality requirements.

WhatWeSeek

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related technical disciplinerequired.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in applications engineering, design engineering, manufacturing engineering, process engineering, or new product development.

• Experience with vacuum technology.

• Proficiencywith SolidWorks and mechanical design principles.

• Experience supporting product development and manufacturing environments.

• Strong technical problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams while managing multiple priorities.

• Limited travelrequired(<10%).

• Primarily on-site position with occasional work-from-home flexibility.

* Compensation: $100,000- 135,000 per year with actual pay dependent on candidates' overall skills for the role
