LaForce, a leading distributor of doors, frames and hardware, has an opening for a Full-Time Pre-Installation Technician. Pre-Installation is the process in which door hardware such as hinges, door closers, exit devices, locks and electrified hardware are installed onto the doors prior to shipping to the jobsite. This position does just that! Installs hardware on doors before they are shipped to the customer. This position is also responsible for palletizing and preparing the prepped doors for shipment

Pay: $22-24/hr based on experience

Major Responsibilities

• Install new material on wood and metal doors in a shop setting.
• Prepare pre-installed doors for delivery.
• Work with the pre-install project manager to ensure order are completed on time and accurately.
• Palletizing materials and products for shipment.
• Operate various hand tools and power tools safely and skillfully.
• Produce quality results in most efficient and cost-effective manner

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication skills and customer service skills
• Ability to read and understand work orders to execute efficiently
• Knowledge of reading and using measuring tapes and rulers
• Frequently standing, walking, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 40 pounds
