ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will be required to work on large pressure vessels from low to high pressures as well as smaller units in a variety of materials and processes to very specific engineering requirements and stringent inspection.
To fit and weld ASME pressure vessels per drawings:
- Will report to Foreman.
- Knowledge of and experience with GTAW and FCAW welding. SAW a plus.
- Able to pass 6G open GTAW root on heavy pipe weld test.
- Follow qualified welding procedures per ASME and customer specifications.
- Grind and cut as required.
- Read drawings and weld symbols.
- Provide QC reports and initial welds as requested.
- Have or obtain OSHA 10 card.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Positive attitude. Experience in welding out of position and subject to a high level of inspection such as X-Ray and phased array UT. Knowledge of ASME Welding and ASNT is helpful.
PREFERRED SKILLS
5 Years of Experience in a fabrication shop environment. Quick thinking and adaptive responses in a small, agile technical business. Ability to read technical specifications and drawings.
