The Information Technology Generalist 1 with the Conservation and Environment Delivery Center (CEDC) plays an important role in supporting users across multiple agencies. This position helps keep devices, software, and systems running smoothly through dependable, hands-on technical support. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position provides Tier 2 support for hardware, software, and technical issues across multiple agencies within the Conservation and Environment Delivery Center (CEDC). It ensures that devices, applications, and configurations are working properly for thousands of users. As an Information Technology Generalist 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Technical Support: Troubleshoot software, hardware, printers, and other workstation issues
- Remote Tools: Use remote management utilities to diagnose and resolve technical problems
- Account Management: Manage user accounts, groups, mailboxes, and security permissions
- Incident Handling: Create and resolve Service Now incidents through multiple request channels
- Training Assistance: Support user training needs and help develop instructional materials
- Hardware Testing: Participate in testing and installing new or updated hardware and software

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, after 3 months of employment. You will be required to report in-office 2 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Bethlehem. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

- Please note: Travel to offices within the 5 agencies that encompass CEDC (Environmental Protection (DEP), Agriculture (AG), Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR), Environmental Hearing Board (EHB) and Milk Marketing Board (MMB) is required. Some troubleshooting will need to be done in a remote office with the device.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as an Information Technology Trainee or Information Technology Technician; or
- Three years of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, networking or desktop services, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services; or
- One year of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, networking or desktop services, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
