We're seeking an Electrical Transmission & Distribution Practice Leader to help grow our presence in the power and utilities market. This role is ideal for someone with strong industry relationships, a track record of winning work, and a passion for developing people. You'll play a key role in shaping strategy, expanding client partnerships, and building the teams needed to support long-term success across our organization.
The Electrical Transmission & Distribution market segment is part of S&ME's Energy Market, where we utilize our life cycle approach, utilizing our core services of environmental, civil, and geotechnical engineering, along with construction materials testing services and special inspections to support our utility and private clients.
Growing the Practice
- Lead the development and execution of a growth strategy for S&ME's Electrical Transmission & Distribution market.
- Identify, pursue, and secure new opportunities that expand our presence and increase revenue.
- Work closely with internal teams to align our core service offerings with client and market needs.
- Help position S&ME for continued success within the evolving power and utility landscape.
Building Strong Client Partnerships
- Develop and strengthen relationships with utility companies, developers, contractors, and other key stakeholders.
- Expand existing client partnerships while creating opportunities with new organizations.
- Utilize your industry knowledge and professional network to increase S&ME's visibility and reputation.
- Deliver a level of service that creates repeat business and long-term client loyalty.
Leading People and Developing Capabilities
- Partner with operational and technical leaders to grow the team and strengthen our service capabilities.
- Guide and mentor multidisciplinary professionals across environmental, civil, geotechnical, and construction services.
- Create an environment that encourages collaboration, accountability, and continuous development.
- Help attract and retain talented professionals who will contribute to the practice's long-term success.
Driving Quality and Innovation
- Support successful project execution with a focus on safety, quality, and client satisfaction.
- Stay informed on industry trends, market shifts, emerging technologies, and competitive activity.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement that strengthen our position in the market.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to both clients and internal teams.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven success driving revenue growth of our core services (geotechnical, environmental, civil and construction materials testing/special inspections) within Electrical Transmission & Distribution, or similar markets
- Strong network and client relationships in the Power & Utilities sector
- 10+ years of progressive experience in project/program or market leadership roles
- You have a proven track record of winning and delivering opportunities for multiple clients within the electrical transmission & distribution market
- A Professional Engineer license (PE) is a plus
- Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus
