DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position focuses on managing environmental programs, reviewing transportation projects, and ensuring compliance with key environmental laws and policies. As an Environmental Planning Manager, you will perform the following duties:
- Project Review: Manage the review of transportation plans and projects for compliance with environmental laws and policies
- Waterways Oversight: Direct the District Waterways Unit to secure required permits for construction and maintenance work
- Mitigation Management: Coordinate mitigation commitments and monitor post construction activities
- MS4 Compliance: Develop and manage programs for MS4 and SEMP compliance including inspections and training
- Policy Development: Create and enforce District policy for stormwater control measures and related environmental practices
- Committee Leadership: Organize and chair the District Stormwater Management Committee and coordinate with regulatory agencies

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- This position may require travel and overtime.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 5 days per pay period, after successful completion of probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Allentown. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience as an Environmental Planning Supervisor (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Seven years of professional planning experience in local, regional, or state planning including two years in a supervisory capacity; or
- A Master's degree in planning or one of the environmental sciences and five years of professional planning experience, including two years in a supervisory capacity; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
- This particular position also requires possession of an active non-commercial Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License or equivalent.
