Dir, Employee Relations

TRC Talent Solutions is seeking a Director, Employee Services to join a rapidly growing clean-energy organization helping shape the future of solar, energy storage, and electrification. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an experienced HR professional who is passionate about improving the employee experience, optimizing HR operations, and partnering closely with executive leadership during a period of significant growth.

This role will lead key employee-facing functions including Benefits Administration, Total Rewards, HRIS, compliance, reporting, and HR operations. Supporting a workforce of approximately 2,000 employees, including a large hourly and frontline population, the Director will play a critical role in enhancing processes, driving system optimization, and delivering exceptional employee services across the organization.

 

Location: Near Nashville, TN (Hybrid; 3-4 days in office weekly)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead Employee Services functions including Benefits Administration, Total Rewards, HRIS, HR operations, compliance, reporting, and workforce analytics.

• Support the full employee population of approximately 2,000 employees, including a large frontline and hourly workforce across multiple shifts.

• Partner closely with HR leadership and business leaders to enhance the employee experience and support organizational growth.

• Own compensation, benefits, compliance, reporting, analytics, and HR systems-related initiatives.

• Manage relationships with benefits providers and external vendors to ensure high-quality employee programs and cost-effective solutions.

• Drive continuous improvement efforts across employee services processes, policies, and programs.

• Optimize and expand the use of Paycom and other HR technologies to improve efficiency, reporting, automation, and employee experience.

• Identify opportunities for system enhancements, integrations, and process improvements.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations and internal policies.

• Leverage workforce data and reporting to inform business decisions and improve HR service delivery.

• Support the development and implementation of employee-focused programs that strengthen engagement, retention, and organizational culture.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience: Minimum of 7 years of progressive Human Resources experience with leadership responsibilities.

• Employee Services Leadership: Strong experience overseeing Benefits, Total Rewards, HR Operations, Compliance, HRIS, and employee-facing HR services.

• HR Systems: Experience managing and optimizing HR technology platforms; Paycom experience preferred.

• Compensation & Benefits: Strong understanding of compensation programs, benefits administration, total rewards strategies, and vendor management.

• Compliance: Knowledge of employment law, HR compliance requirements, and HR operational best practices.

• Analytics: Experience with HR reporting, workforce analytics, metrics, and data-driven decision-making.

• Leadership: Proven ability to influence, collaborate, and build strong relationships across all levels of an organization.

• Process Improvement: Demonstrated success identifying opportunities for operational improvement and implementing scalable solutions.

• Customer Service: Strong employee-first mindset with excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
